  1. Hookay... I've tracked it down, but I want to understand it. I have the free AmpleSound Guitar M II Lite plugin. It auto-loaded a compressor sidechained to Bus 7, which is unassigned and grayed out. I also have a track loaded with an Alchemy sound that auto-loaded a compressor sidechained to Audio 2 (?). If I delete either of those sidechained compressors, the problem remains. If I delete the them BOTH, the problem is resolved. When I test loading those same plugins and sounds into new tracks, they don't auto-load the sidechained compressors! Wha...?! My eyes are crossed. 😉
  2. Sorry! I missed your reply a minute ago. Just tried with all plugins REMOVED. Problem gone. I have a hunch. Testing now.
  3. Nope. Even with ALL plugins off, there's a delay on the drums. The timpani that I put in by hand is just fine. It's just the converted Drummer tracks.
  4. Hi David! Test #1: All plugins off on drum tracks only. I *think* the delay isn't quite as bad. Moving to test #2, *all* plugins off.
  5. If your audio interface has a 48v phantom power feature, make sure it's on.
  6. Hey all! My MIDI drum tracks for one song show as on beat (for example, 3 1 1 1), but play slightly delayed. There's no delay on them. Flex is off. No other plugin would account for it that I can see. The song has 26 tracks. All non-drum tracks play back just fine. The CPU stays ~89% idle while the song plays. My drive's ~60% full. These were originally Drummer tracks, converted into MIDI and separated by kit piece. I'm using stock kits. I'm on a Macbook Pro M1 14", with Logic Pro 10.8.1. What am I missing? Thanks in advance!
  7. I see that now. I'm fairly new to Flex Pitch. I've still got a lot to learn. Thanks as always for your patience and help!
  8. "On". When I turned it to "Off", the pitch corrections were still in place. ?
  9. Gain's not on. When I tried to listen again to the track, I got a 'System Overload' error when it got to the first clip that was Flex pitched. I went into the File and selected 'Revert to backup'. That resolved the error. The pitch correction is still in place. The distortion is gone. Maybe demons got in, had their fun and left?
  10. I'd already turned it off, but while looking again, I see that I had Waveform Zoom selected somehow. Duh! So the distortion isn't a result of normalization. Could the flex pitch have caused it?
  11. Hi, Logic Pro 10.6.2 on Mac 10.15.7 I have a comp track with regions from ~12 vocal takes. I chose 'Analyze audio for flex editing' and it completed. Then I realized that wasn't what I wanted, so I tried to undo the analysis. No dice. I figured it wouldn't be a problem if I didn't edit anything. I zoomed into the tracks area and selected Flex Pitch, which is what I really wanted. I edited a few notes, saved, and quit. When I reopened the song, I realized that the entire track, including all regions, had been normalized or had the gain increased. This is causing some distortion. The undo steps are, of course, gone. I thought flex edits were non-destructive, but I can't figure out how to undo whatever was done. I know I'm probably missing something obvious. Anyone?
  12. David, thanks for the offer. However, after digging a bit more, the issue with the 2.9 GB package is the samples. I have a 8 tracks of brass. Two of those tracks explode out into sections. The sections include the same samples that Clean Up shows as unused. I don't know why Clean Up sees them as unused, but it seems pretty clear now that it's not deleting them because they're still in use elsewhere in the song. I'm trying Clean Up on a variety of songs. (I've been lax.) Sometimes it reduces the package size and sometimes not, regardless of the number of past edits and instrument changes. I'll give up on trying to figure out it's "thinking" and just move on. Life is short!
  13. Hi David! No. I just checked in case it happens unintentionally, but I see nothing of any size.
  14. Thanks, Christian. You're awesome! As mentioned previously, I've already used File > Project Management > Cleanup > Cleanup Backups. It didn't seem to do anything. I just tried it three times on a 2.9 GB project. This project has no audio (software instruments and a Drummer track) and is 77 bars long. Each time, I was shown the same set of unused sample files. (10). And each time, the file size remained the same. I also tried Consolidate, and then Clean Up with everything checked. Still no change. Gremlins?
  15. Thanks, Christian! So, I assume that the backups get wiped when saving a project under a new name? If so, that would account for the massive difference in file size. Any idea how many backups are saved, for how long or where to see them? This would be good to know if I have to decrease a file size for some reason.
