  1. wtf? i am trying to lay down beats. when i try to lay them down on the track i keep getting that error message. it will lay down a super long region with one note. i have no clue what this about. does anyone know. i should say that i have imported sounds on the cheap little drum machine i'm using. i don't know if that is what the problem is. any help with this would be great. thnx.

    thanks for that! :thumbs up:
  3. i am using LinPlug Albino 3 and idrum (it gets the job done...lol) with samples i imported. i think the drum samples, coupled with albino, is causing the problem. currently, i have eight midi tracks. five various drum tracks...one of which is from gargeband jam pack. my i/o buffer is set at the default...512. i can't tell about the meters because, when i opened the song to see about that, it was running fine....of course. but they seem to be ok when i do stop the song.
  4. i worry i need more ram....i'm using a mini ( i know i know, i should have gotten something a bit more powerful....i will be eventually) and i'm maxed out on ram....i can't add anymore. i definitely need a new hard drive...which i will get once i pay my insurance and my move in costs for a new residence. a new hard drive can not come sooner! i'm hoping there is some "band-aid" for the mean time. as far as posting my song, which format should i do it as? and thanks for the response. i appreciate it.
  5. i made a thread about this at the board over at apple, but i thought maybe y'all might have some ideas for me. here's the problem: i'm working on a song and, for some reason or another, it is sucking power. i can't play it while working on it....how am i to write a song if i can't do that. i can't even seem to be able to play just a couple tracks on solo without the song stopping. when it does play, it lags for those fleeting moments. i made sure to shut down all other applications.....and i froze and locked every track that i could. i've also cleared as much space as i could from my hard drive. i've also tried closing down logic and reopening it. i have had similar problems with other songs depending on the power hungry plug-ins i would use, but never as drastic as this. and, really, the plug-ins i am using on this song aren't that powerful....and i'm not using that many of them. does anyone have idea how i can get some more energy. i'm sure there is something basic i should do, but i am bad at manuals. http://www.logicprohelp.com/images/smiles/icon_redface.gif i really don't want to scrap the song...or work in the "dark." thanks.
  6. i had this problem. i still can't figure it out. i ended up dragging my jam pack loops to my desktop and then dragging them to the loop window. it seems like the only thing that would work for me. my problem was that they would keep disappearing from my loop browser if i had them in the apple loops folder where they belong. rather annoying. if you figure out how to fix the problem, let me know.
  7. hey...these are pretty good. very professional sounding. i think i could imagine them played in a club somewhere. good work. don't hesitate putting more up. :tumbs up:
  8. oops....didn't realise i made the thread in wrong place. '
  9. i have some extra presets and sound banks for albino 3. they are .fxp. i'm not sure where exactly i am to put them. i thought i had them in the right place but i can't seem to find all the sounds that i should.....though it can be difficult wading through all the sounds that already come with the plugin itself. so, if one of you can take a few seconds and tell me where i should be putting them, that would be awesome. i am sure it is a fairly easy task...i'm just inept at the computer. thank you so much. i'm pumped to be using the "video game" sound. i must get that in there!!!
  10. seeing i have spent all day trying to figure out where to put sound presets for a plugin (i know it is sad), this is probably above my head. i definitely will be employing my husband to do this. any more tips you may have will be great. i figure i'll print this out to show him...in case he is unsure of what to do. thank you.
  11. thank you. i find it hard to give feedback sometimes too. i never know what to say other than it is good or whatever. but i wish someone would chime in too! do you have any music posted here. i guess i can go look. i did open your link but i haven't looked at the page yet. i guess i should before i start and close down my browser. i need all the power i can get right now. i'm running out of room on my hard drive. i can barely work on a song!

actually, i wonder the same thing.
  13. this might be an elementary question but i don't know about these things. and my tech head/mac geek husband either doesn't know or can't be arsed. i'm running out of room on my start up HD....don't ask me why i don't already have a hard drive just for my music. i really need to get all my software and plugins somewhere else. i figure i copy everything over, but there seems to be files all over the place and i don't want to miss anything. can anyone help me?
  14. well, thank you!!! : ) my regular music page can be found in my signature....i have a new song up! did you have any advice on what you heard there. i decided to change the instumentation a bit on mystical organ. i also replaced the blip bloop percussion sounding bits on 3963 miles. but i am not sure about what else. some friends have given som e suggestions though i don't know if they would work.
