  1. USB MIDI. It's the same when using Ableton. But there is another weird thing I noticed. After triggering play, audio is running and is smashed. I then mute and unmute the audio track on the deluge and then the audio suddenly sounds fine. I also posted this issue in Deluge Forum and we agreed, that this is weird.
  2. Hi everyone, I am slaving a hardware groove box (Synthstrom Deluge) to Logic Pro X. The Deluge is connected via USB (no Hub) to my iMac (USB MIDI). Syncing worked well so far but yesterday I noticed the following: - audio tracks that are recorded into the groovebox, have some weird audio artifacts when I trigger PLAY from Logic. hard to describe but it sounds like a bad time stretching algorithm or maybe the result of clock jitter(?). - the same audio tracks sound fine, when I hit PLAY on the Deluge (i.e. in this case not being slaved to Logic) - also no problem appearing when triggering a MIDI track on the Deluge from Logic. All synths sound fine in that case. it really just appears with recorded audio tracks - recording of the audio tracks was done at the same tempo of 94bpm in Logic as well as on the Deluge. playback is the same tempo. Theres not so much coming to my mind how I can solve that. - I tried another USB cable (haha). Same problem. - Changing MIDI delay settings in Logic also no success. - changing I/O buff size. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  3. yes. does also not work properly when cycle starts again.
  4. Hi everyone, got a little problem with MIDI clock settings. situation as follows: cycle mode in logic is enabled. Logic is sending clock (via USB) to hardware sequencer (Synthstrom Deluge). clock mode in project settings in logic is set to "Song - SPP at Play Start and Stop/SPP/Continue at Cycle Jump" Problem: my external hardware sequencer is 'running out of clock' every time a cycle (loop) is starting again after reaching its end. When playback is stopped and I hit "play", i.e. the cycle starts from its beginning, clock is ok. But as already said, when the cycle starts again, clock is out of time. When a cycle is running, I can fast forward or backwards without clock problems. Its only appearing when the cycle starts again. When I set clock mode to "Pattern" , the problem does not occur. but this mode aint really working for me and my setup. I already tried to play around with MIDI settings on the Deluge but with no success. Can anybody help me out with that? Its quite frustrating! Thanks everybody and all the best Hardware: Logic Pro X 10.6.1 running on iMac with enough RAM, GHZ and what not... Synthstrom Deluge (Hardware Sequencer)
  5. thanks for your suggestions. the third option is what I used so far... I thought there may be some simple checkbox I just missed in the settings. I guess the transformer solution would may be the best...
  6. Hey everyone, I got a problem regarding MIDI channel assignment. I am in Auto De-Mix Mode in the project settings. But when I choose a MIDI channel on my MIDI Keyboard and there is no corresponding instrument track with the same MIDI channel, then the message gets transmitted to the highlighted track in Logics track environment. Is there a way to avoid this behavior? Thanks a lot! Hannes
  7. yes of course AU'S.... for example Synapse Audio The Legend and U-He Repro. I am not at home at the moment to check again but these I remember of showing this behavior...
  8. Thanks Jakob that works perfectly fine for me. I also think I now really understand what's going on in the MIDI environment. Really powerful tool! All the best
  9. how do you patch the output cables of the signal splitter? I mean technically...
  10. Logic can not affect what your controller is sending to your Mac. It can affect only how it interprets what it’s receiving. If Snoize doesn’t show anything then Logic isn’t receiving anything. What do you mean? After the problem occurs, the controller is not sending MIDI to the Mac at all anymore (monitored with SNOIZE). good suggestion!
  11. Hi Jakob and David, if I got it right, then I could use Jakobs setup if I record MIDI CC exclusively from other devices than the Deluge, right? David: Where would you put the MIDI transformer in Jakobs setup? Because actually it would be better for me to keep the option of recording MIDI CC from the Deluge as well. Very grateful for your suggestions and help!
  12. It seems like everytime I change a parameter with the mouse in the plugin GUI, this parameter then reacts to the next key I hit on the keyboard. E.g. I change a preset by clicking with the mouse and then hit the return key to go back to the start of the track in Logic. When the plugin window still is highlighted, the preset browser opens. Just one example. could be any parameter/key combination as far as I can see...
  13. If your Mac does not receive any MIDI events, Logic cannot possibly interpret the non-existent MIDI events. yes what I meant was that Logic kills the MIDI output of the controller. I also think that it is some MIDI message "confusing" the controller. I forwarded this thread the developer who, by the way, already replied that some other user has the same issue. I have two other controllers of the same manufacturer and they work without problems so far.
  14. Actually I want to use Logic just for recording automation on the VST tracks. The sequencer works like a hardware DAW but I would also be able to record automation on the hardware (Synthstrom Deluge) by assigning the MIDI CC of a parameter to its control knobs. In that case: yes, then I would send CC from the sequencer. But not necessarily... What kind of channel splitter do you actually mean? you mean a splitter in the MIDI environment of Logic?!
