Guitarfreak
Hey, I'm new here, first post woo! I want to learn effect sends and it's not really working for me. I must be doing something wrong. I create a new track (mono) and set the input to Bus 1 and leave the output standard as out 1+2. Then I go to the tracks that I want reverb on (which are mono) and activate the send to Bus 1 and option click the little wheel that pops up to establish 0dB send attenuation. Then I attach a reverb plug to the bus track and eliminate the dry signal and boost the wet signal to 100%. Yet I hear nothing. I don't even have a visible level in the bus track. I hope this is in the right section. If not I'm sorry.

That's what you will be calling your Bus
Beer Moth
By selecting a bus on the track(s) you want to send from,a new channel is automatically created alondside it If you tey it on a single track (delete unused) you'll see it happrn. Guitarfreak
Oh, I see. So I don't create a track before I create the send, because the send creates one itself, and then I need to find the aux track in the mixer and add the reverb there? Beer Moth
Yep.
Guitarfreak
Awesome, and now if I send three different audio tracks to Bus 1 (Aux 1) will they each open up their own track or will they all send to the same aux track (hopefully?) Beer Moth
Bus 1 will go to aux 1. If you assign, say 3 busses to your instrument track, they'll all be on aux 1,but if you then stick bus 5 and 6 on a new track they'll go to aux 2,but bus 1 will still go to aux 1. See? Guitarfreak
Wow, now you lost me. I'm not at my computer right now so I can't try it myself, but if I want to send three different guitar tracks, (say tracks 1, 2, and 3) to the same reverb plug, then if I have them all send to Bus 1 then they should all send to aux 1 in theory correct? Beer Moth
Correct. The pic in my last post sort of shows it,but not quite, When you assign a bus that is already in use it says which aux ch it is in the drop sown menu, I should've done the grab with that on,but you'll see it anyway.
