Hey there guys,

Im going to be upgrading soon and am wondering, considering the size of my projects including the plug-in's i have, wether I shuold get an 8GB machine or stick with the 4GB?

Im running on 4GB atm, and often my ram usage is around 65 - 70%. My machine currently is a core2duo 2.0ghz unibody MB.

I want to be able to run large scale projects without swalloing all of the system memory. My projects recently have been reaching to 80 -100 audio/software track range and my laptop is experiencing some lagg.

I want a nice, solid, stable machine with the ability to run large scale projects and 3rd party plug-ins without the lagg.

So, do I go for the 8GB, or stick with the stock 4GB?

If you're going for the 27 inch, go for the quad core using the money from those 8 gigs of ram. 4 cores is better than 8 gigs of ram (which you can get later anyway).
