redlogic
I posted this as a tangent in another thread, but thought it should be here on its own. How many times have you been running through a song, just getting sounds and trying different ideas, and you play or sing something really cool (audio not MIDI) and WISH you had recorded it? Well...you can! Steps Have Punch On The Fly enabled and an audio track in Record Ready. Hit Play. Noodle around. Hit Record Toggle somewhere later. Hit Stop. Drag the left corner of the resulting audio region to the left up to the point where you went in play. David Nahmani
Great tip. Hit Record Toggle somewhere later. Or simply press your Record key command or click the record button in the Transport bar. It's important to note that unlike the MIDI version of "Capture last recording", with audio you have to start recording before you press stop, or the entire recording will be deleted.
