cbones55
Screen Shot of ProblemHello Friends, I'm pulling my hair out on this one. I'm trying to set up a simple controller to record tempo changes on a session that needs it. I'm doing everything exactly as everyone mentions it on several different sites. Created a tempo fader- -Set it to incoming CC# -Set up a midi track dedicated to the tempo fader -Record midi Everything works fine, the fader moves in the environment window, it records a region with the corresponding midi channel and it manipulates the tempo control during playback. BUT IT WILL NOT RECORD TO THE TEMPO TRACK, NOR OBVIOUSLY SHOW IN THE TEMPO LIST. I've tried everything I can think of, but no go. I've disabled, re-enabled "Allow Tempo Change Recording" But it will not record data to the Global Tempo Track itself, which is what I need. Am I missing something here? Could something be blocking that? I set up a new session to show exactly how this is not working... And have these SCreen Shots to show... Screen Shot of Problem Any help is greatly Appreciated. Thanks! Chris Logic 9.1.7 OSX 10.7.
David Nahmani
Don't set up a track for your tempo fader. Just record-enable any software instrument or external MIDI track and press record.
cbones55
Thank you for the quick response David. Unfortunately, that does not seem to work. When I record enable just a midi track, or another... then it records my CC info, but it then won't even effect the tempo fader in line, nor obviously record to the tempo track. I had read that you could do it that way, but it won't allow me to get to the T. Fader in the environment when that track is being recorded. Here is the new MIDI only track. You can see my CC#8 was recorded, but it is not effecting tempo at all. Here you can see the environment yet again, where the tempo fader is inline. I can see it working, at least moving the fader in the environment when I had the tempo track. But not when I add a GM track or other. Can you think of anything that could be effecting this otherwise?
cbones55
Actually David, I figured it out, you were right, of course... I overlooked the fact that in the last attempt I didn't have the tempo fader actually in line. It's working now, you're awesome. C
David Nahmani
You have to cable the "Input View" monitor into the Tempo fader, then that Tempo fader into the Sequencer Input object.
